At DOMICILIO interiors, we believe in a clear, collaborative, and creative process designed to make your project exciting and seamless from start to finish. We've broken our journey together into four main phases so you know exactly what to expect every step of the way.
Phase 1: Onboarding
This is all about getting to know you and your project to ensure we're the perfect fit.
Initial Phone Consult: We'll start with a quick introductory call to learn the basic scope of your project.
In-Home Consultation: If we seem like a good match, the next step is a complimentary in-person meeting. Think of this as a "first date"—a no-pressure opportunity for us to tour your space, listen to your vision, and discuss our process and timelines in more detail.
Project Proposal: We'll then craft a detailed project proposal and design services agreement for you to review. This will include a preliminary budget to keep us on track.
Contract & Kick-off: Once you've reviewed and signed the contract, we'll invoice for the initial 50% of the design fee to officially kick off the project. With payment received, we'll send over our detailed client questionnaire and schedule a site visit to take comprehensive measurements.
Phase 2: Design & Development
With the groundwork laid, we enter the most exciting part of the journey: bringing your vision to life through creative design and meticulous planning. This phase is a close collaboration to ensure every detail is perfect.
Conceptual Design: We begin by documenting your space, confirming the scope, and conducting our signature "Trade Day," an on-site summit with our trusted contractors to get ballpark estimates for the work to be completed.
Concept Design Meeting: We'll have our first presentation where we translate our conversations into a tangible creative direction, including floor plans, inspiration boards, and initial selections. We provide one round of revisions for this phase.
Detailed Design: Based on your feedback, we will revise our selections and procure quotes to prepare a detailed proposal and Furnishing Investment Estimate (FIE) for your approval.
Detailed Design Meeting: We'll have our second presentation of the project where we will confirm the final layout, all selections, and the confirmed project budget before moving into procurement.
Phase 3: Purchasing & Execution
Once the design is approved, we move into making it a reality.
Furnishing Investment: After you approve the FIE, we will send an invoice for 100% of the cost of all furnishings, materials, hardware, art, accessories (etc)
Procurement & Construction: Once payment is received, the purchasing phase begins. We handle all the ordering and begin coordinating with our trusted, licensed tradespeople and contractors to complete any necessary work on site.
Phase 4: Project Management & Closeout
This is the final stretch where we manage all the logistics to bring the vision together perfectly.
Project Management: We will visit the site regularly to ensure the design is being implemented correctly. We oversee all logistics, track your orders, and verify that every item arrives in perfect condition.
Installation: We coordinate all deliveries and manage the full installation of your new space.
Final Walkthrough: We'll conduct a final "punch walk" with you to address any remaining details and ensure everything meets our shared standards.
