The Challenge: The homeowners loved their classic Austin bungalow but faced a common challenge: the layout wasn't optimized for modern living. They needed a seamless connection to their backyard, a convenient guest bathroom in a house that only had one, and smarter storage solutions—all without sacrificing the home's unique character.

The DOMICILIO Solution: We approached the project as a holistic re-imagining of the main living space. A spacious screened-in porch was added, creating a true indoor-outdoor room that extends the home's footprint. Inside, we captured underutilized space by converting a large closet into a stunning, multi-functional built-in. Finished in a vibrant, high-gloss green, this custom piece now houses a cozy dining banquette with hidden storage, a dedicated bar, and bookshelves. To ensure a cohesive feel, we replicated an existing architectural detail from the home onto the new bar cabinet doors. A portion of the family room was then cleverly partitioned to create a much-needed powder bath, which we infused with personality via a bold, graphic wallpaper.
