This classic midcentury ranch had architectural charm—but a chopped-up layout and dated finishes left it feeling disconnected and dim. The vision: honor the home's origins while transforming it into a bright, functional space for a modern family.

The Plan
We opened the floor plan to create a stronger flow between kitchen, dining, and living areas—reinstating midcentury details like rich walnut cabinetry, clean-lined silhouettes, and organic materials. Large, unadorned windows frame uninterrupted views of the lush surroundings, reinforcing the home’s connection to nature.

To support both daily function and design cohesion, we introduced a balanced palette of practical finishes and natural textures. Custom millwork, subtle geometry, and restrained brass accents echo the home’s roots while creating a backdrop that feels fresh and timeless.

The Result
